Level 2

Youth (under 18) Tu/Th 10:00 am-12:00 pm Click here to register

Adult (18 and over) Sa 8:00 am-11:00 am Click here to register

This 4-week on-the-water session builds on the skills learned in the Level 1 class. Rowers may review the fundamentals of the rowing stroke and warm up on the ergometer, but most of the time will be spent continuing to develop boat handling skills and using the body efficiently on the water. Emphasis will be on the individual stroke and rowing effectively in a team boat. Completing this course will prepare you to enter the Level 3 class, and to be approved to take out a club boat during open rowing sessions for members. Fee includes limited membership to USRowing and insurance for the duration of the course. Participants must be able to tread water for 15 minutes and swim 2 lengths of a pool.

Who should take this class? If you have completed our Level 1 class or if you have some past rowing experience and are comfortable with the rudiments of the rowing stroke, you should sign up for Level 2.
