Fall Classes @ NRC!

Are you looking to take a class this fall? Know someone who's interested in trying the sport? Fall registration is open with classes starting soon! Please note that our class sizes are limited for the safety of our participants and that registration for some classes closes before the start of the class.

Youth Classes - Novice Rowers

If you are are completely new to rowing (never been in a boat), you should sign up for "Fall Youth Intro to Rowing" which is under the "Learn to Row" tab on Regatta Central. This class will meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 4:30 - 6pm from September 10th to September 26th. We will go over the basics of the rowing stroke and learn about the equipment.

Once you've completed Youth Intro to Rowing, you become a novice rower! Anyone who has rowed for under a year is a Novice rower. You will join fellow novice rowers in the "Fall Youth Novice Rowers" class, which is under the "Programs and Classes" tab. This class will meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 4:30 - 6pm from October 1st to October 24th.

If you took an Intro to Rowing class either in the spring or summer, you can still take the Intro to Rowing class so that you don't miss out on any great rowing in September, or you can wait and join in for Novice Rowers in October.

Youth Classes - Experienced Rowers

If you have been rowing for at least one year, you are now an experienced rower! Experienced rowers have the option of rowing recreationally twice per week or joining the Junior Racers, our competitive travel team. Experienced Rowers will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 - 6pm from September 3rd to October 24th. The Junior Racers will be meeting five days a week, with a detailed schedule available from Coach Allie. Both classes can be found under the "Programs and Classes" tab on Regatta Central.

Please note that the Junior Racers involves travel to regattas around the northeast, so if you are new to the Junior Racers, be sure to contact Coach Allie before signing up.

Adult Classes - Intro to Rowing

If you have been rowing for less than a year, you should sign up for "Adult Intro to Rowing" under the "Learn to Row" tab on Regatta Central. This class will meet on Wednesdays at 5:15-6:15 pm from September 4th to October 9th.

Registration Info

All of our class registration takes place online at Regatta Central. When you sign up for classes online, you are agreeing to our waiver. You can pay for any class online by credit card or, if you prefer, you may choose to "Pay by Check" during check out and bring a check made out to Noank Rowing Club on the first day of class.
