National Learn to Row Day

Join us on Saturday, June 1st for National Learn to Row Day! Spend time outdoors and get out on the water by participating in the annual free National Learn to Row Day, at Noank Rowing Club located in Spicer Park, Noank, CT on June 1, 2019 @ 9 - 10:30am.

Members will lead activities that will include orientation to the sport of rowing, different types of rowing shells and equipment, land-based introduction to rowing on ergometers, and getting on the water in a double or quad shell. Coaches and experienced club members will oversee the event. This event is open to individuals age 12 through adult who are able to swim 50 yards and tread water for 10 minutes.

Each year on the first Saturday in June, a wide variety of rowing clubs nationwide offer this free opportunity. Learn to Row Day events are a great introduction to skill building as well as a chance to make friendships.
