Come see Coach Kristen's presentation at the Groton Public Library on Tuesday, August 9th!

Timed with the 2016 Olympics, Coach Kristen will share unique insights about rowing including the history of the sport from a mode of transportation to modern Olympic racing. Boats didn't always have fiberglass hulls and aluminum wing-riggers. They didn't even have sliding seats! Learn about these and other fascinating technical evolutions that we take for granted today.

Kristen will also provide perspective on how Title IX and national program development has fortified college and junior rowing programs, creating a women’s rowing dynasty as heavy favorites for a third straight Women's’ 8 Olympic gold in Rio!
