On February 3, a dozen NRC rowers, coaches, and parents met with Conn College head rowing coaches Ric Ricci and Eva Kovach to tour the Conn College rowing facilities and learn more about what it's like to row in college. Three Conn College rowers talked about the rigor, joys, and benefits of rowing in college. The 15th-annual National Learn to Row Day hosted by Noank Rowing Club was a fun-filled day! Our community experienced the wonderful sport of rowing at Spicer Park and on the beautiful Beebe Cove in Noank. All folks 'taste-tested' rowing on the land-based machines, then most ventured on the water in 2- and 4-person rowing shells! NRC coaches and experienced rowers ensured participants’ first row was safe and FUN! Several folks inquired about learning more about rowing. YES - N
