NRC Mission

NRC Mottos

  • Building Community One Stroke at Time

  • Life Health Through Rowing

  • All Ages, All Abilities, All FUN

Noank Rowing Club is a non-profit ‘building community one stroke at a time’. NRC is for all ages, abilities and seasons rowing out of the Spicer Park, on the Beebe Cove, Noank Connecticut. We own and maintain both sweep and sculling equipment.

Beebe Cove’s encircled waterway is located on the west side of the Mystic River, offering superb flat water conditions for learners and

surprisingly calm water most windy days for the experienced! The cove’s railroad bridge provides access to the Mystic River enabling long distance training, sight seeing and open water touring.

We offer classes for a range of ages, fitness levels and abilites, enjoying "life health through rowing". Gathering on a semi-formal basis club members row together or connect with others to row on their own. While some members like to remain in Beebe Cove, other more experienced people prefer to go out on the Mystic River for a longer workout, more varied surroundings, or more challenging conditions.

In all activities, club-sponsored or individual, we take boating safety very seriously and require that all members follow the safe-boating procedures laid out in the Club’s Rules and Regulations. The Friends of Fitch Crew (dba) The Noank Rowing Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
